Set of powdercoated left hand seat runner adaptor rails. Made and designed by JASS Performance, these allow the standard MX-5 seat runners to attach to the base of a Sparco Sprint bucket seat.
This is a set of 2 adaptors, and will do a l/h seat only. Note that the left and right hand seats are different. These are CNC cut, welded, zinc coated and powdercoated, they are made to the correct thickness to ensure a flat mounting surface, they are weight optimised and CNC stress calculated
Beware of dangerous cheap copies from Lithuania that are currently doing the rounds, these are the genuine Jass Performance items.
Fit mk1, mk2 & mk2.5 models.
Many of us have tried fitting Sparco Spints in an MX5 only to find that they are not exactly a direct fit, nor do they provide much (more) room.
They need redrilling, adapting the rail to the left seat to match the width and while a defoamed OEM seat can sit at the same height and lean lower, these are not an option for really tall drivers on rails.
So we provided as solution, adapter rails, with the following features:
- Left seat bolts in central position (to the steering wheel)
- Minimal rail height below 5mm.
- They allow the seat to move the 15 available millimeter to the furthest back (two more clicks), compared to using the OEM fixing positions. With removed rear trim (which is the limiting factor) this gives additional leg space.
- While moving backwards (the additional 15mm), the seat dives further down as of the angle of the rails, which also compensates for the added rails thickness (5mm).
The rails are zinc coated and powdercoated, their installation is discrete however and can't be spotted from above.
Important notes:
There is no RHD/LHD coding for these as all LHD/RHD MK1/MK2 cars share same chassis in this region (seats).
They won't directly fit the NBFL rails with integrated (welded) seat belt bracket when used with R100 seats!
